First Run!

Yesterday DRC was founded and had its first official run! Check here often for the daily workouts along with tips and tricks to improve your running and overall fitness and health. For all workouts, we will be meeting at the track in seaside at 8pm. If you can’t join us, try to find time to do the workouts on your own, so you can keep up with us when you can join us.

For the next eight weeks, we will be following a program to build up slowly to running for thirty minutes non-stop. The first week or so will be quite easy with a lot of walking, but as we get closer to the end of the eight weeks, it will get increasingly difficult. Once we reach the goal of a thirty minute run, we will begin to throw in  resistance exercises and speed/endurance exercises to be more well-rounded.

Yesterdays workout:

Run 1 min

Walk 2 min

Repeat 10x

Today’s Workout:

Walk 30 min easy
